Spring Ephemeral Letterpress Cards (set of 8)

Four delicately rendered spring ephemerals grace this set; four of the earliest blooms to open as winter recedes and spring begins its descent. Before the pungent apple blossoms and bold tulips and daffodils spring forth, there are tiny, ethereal, fragile blooms that pop out from recently frozen ground.

My mom is an incredible drawer and printmaker (intaglio etchings, primarily), and we've wanted to do a project together for a long time. These cards are the first of what we hope to be many collaborations. The drawings featured on these cards are Bleeding Heart, Dutchman's Britches, Meadow Rue, and Sweet William. Each drawing is by Priscilla Steele (my mom!) and the lettering was hand drawn by yours truly, Maggie Campbell.

• All of the cards are letterpress printed by hand on our 1915 Golding Official No. 4 letterpress
• Ephemerals are printed in a pale, early-spring green and the lettering is printed in a soft brown-gray.
• Each set includes 8 folded cards (2 of each drawing - all blank inside), with 8 heavy kraft brown envelopes.
• Cards measure 5.5" wide x 4.25" high, and are printed on heavy, 100% cotton stock

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Spring!
